Buy the painting. Meet the person who painted it.

The Working Studio is a small collective selling originals straight off our own easels — and taking on a handful of commissions each season. No gallery middleman, no mystery about where the work comes from.

Featured artist of the month Draft

June paints the things that live under the stairs.

Her monsters are gentle, her color is not. This month we're showing a small run of June's creature paintings in the studio window — originals and a few studies, priced to find homes.

Commissions

How commissioning works

Three steps, no surprises. We take on a limited number of commissions at a time so each one gets real attention.

Tell us the idea

A photo, a memory, a wall that needs something. You talk directly with the artist whose work you like — not a sales rep.

Agree on scope & price

You get a written quote and a rough timeline before any money moves. A deposit holds your slot; the rest is due on approval.

See it before it's final

We share in-progress photos at agreed points. Reasonable revisions are part of the process — you'll never be handed something sight unseen.

The collective

Four people, one studio

We share the space, the coffee and the cleanup roster. Everything here is made by one of these four.
